McCain’s choice of deputy for his campaign

And the choice is Sarah Palin, governor of Alaska. This is an eye-catching and bold choice for she has less top-level political experience than Obama and this negates one of the Republican party’s strongest potential lines of attack on the Democrats. It looks a little like a decision made from a position of weakness (we have to be radical to match Obama) but, it should be applauded too; after all, she’ll only be a heartbeat away from the presidency if McCain wins in November.
